Introduction
Catsy are a humanoid cat (female body with cat head) doll. They are 14cm tall making them one of the smallest kinds of ball-jointed dolls. They are no longer being sold by their original seller, Elfdoll, however there may be a few available from American companies Denverdoll and Dolls and Friends.
Physique
The Catsy dolls by default have white skin, brown eyes, and are made out of resin. They have a large-busted human female body, and a cat-like head. They are much different from another cat-like doll Baha/Baja Kitty although many people believe they are similar.
Outfits
Catsy's standard outfit (which comes with her package) is a black and pink dress, with a detachable white tail*, choker and boots. Catsy could possibly fit into Barbie Kelly or Bratz Childrenz clothes, although not 100% perfectly. It is probably a better idea to make your own.
* In later production runs, the tail isn't detachable from the dress.
Production
Catsies first appeared in 2001(?) and have since been re-released and sold by doll retailers (outside of Elfdoll) several times in limited quantities. In 2007 Elfdoll produced their final run of their semi-popular Catsy doll. Catsies were last seen for sale/pre-order at Dolls and Friends and Denver Doll.
They are no longer available to purchase and are no longer being produced by Elfdoll.
Black Catsy
In May 2008 Elfdoll released a special Black Catsy which is only available from Elfdoll's American resellers. This version of Catsy has a new outfit, new paw hands, high-heel shoes and ear piercings. Black Catsy is limited to 40 worldwide.
